Wallpaper Description:
This is an abstract I created of part of the Christmas story-- the story of the birth of Jesus. Here is some of that story...

That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord's glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. "Don't be afraid!" he said. "I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior - yes, the Messiah, the Lord - has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign; You will find a baby wrapped snuggly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger."

Luke 2:8-12 NLT

Can you imagine what it would have been like to be one of those shepherds that night? I wish I could talk to those shepherds! I think their lives must have been changed forever...

PS. It was truly a holy night when Jesus Christ was born. O Holy Night is one of my favorite Christmas songs. I've put some of the lyrics to it below, and a link to it being sung by Sandi Patty, in case you feeling like listening to it.

Merry Christmas, everyone! :D

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour’s birth;
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
'Till he appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn;

Chorus
Fall on your knees, Oh hear the angel voices!
O night divine! O night when Christ was born.
O night, O holy night, O night divine.

Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming;
With glowing hearts by his cradle we stand:
So, led by light of a star sweetly gleaming,
Here come the wise men from Orient land,
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger,
In all our trials born to be our friend;

Chorus
Fall on your knees, Oh hear the angel voices!
O night divine! O night when Christ was born.
O night, O holy night, O night divine.

Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is Love and His gospel is Peace;
Chains shall he break, for the slave is our brother,
And in his name all oppression shall cease,
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful Chorus raise we;
Let all within us praise his Holy name!

Chorus
Fall on your knees, Oh hear the angel voices!
O night divine! O night when Christ was born.
O night, O holy night, O night divine.

Yeah, the lowly shepherds knew it was the birth of the promised Messiah, but Jewish leaders and priest didn't? Totally amazing!:)
