When werewolves began to be hunted, and many hid amongst the humans, others took it upon themselves to fight back. Many were the last surviving of their pack, either seeking revenge, driven mad, or something in between. Others simply couldn’t compete with humans for food, especially without the aid of their pack and with lost territory, and turned to human flesh instead. During this dark time in their history, most survivors that did not adopt the hybrid life became rogues and man-eaters. Unfortunately, this only made humans hunt them more fervently.
