Lifespan: The average lifespan of an Okapi is 20-30 years.
Size & Weight: The female Okapi are larger than the males! Male Okapi are 450-650lbs, females are 500-770 lbs!
Habitat: Okapi live in the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa and reside within the tropical rain forests.
Diet: Okapi are grazers and eat leaves, twigs, and fruit! They have also been seen eating clay and burnt charcoal, which may be a way for them to get minerals in their diet.
Family Life: Okapis are normally solitary animals. They can be seen together when a mother is caring for her calf, or during mating season. Suring mating season, the normally quiet female Okapi calls out for a mate. Once mating is through, the male and female Okapi go there seperate ways and are solitary once again.
