From what I've seen and read it's a Rocky Mountain horse, the black with white mane still don't seem to be very common though. Incredibly beautiful would like to see more of them.

Colorwise, yes I have seen the black horse with white main and tail before...and they are always awesome looking. Aren't these called black palominos or something like that?
Its a beautiful horse and a great shot.
