Wallpaper Description:

I took this photo after a we got 12 inches of snow! My husband dug paths through our backyard so that we and our smooth collie Katie could get around more easily. Our snow is mostly gone today, but not for long... it's supposed to snow again this week!

Update March 1st: Wow, are we getting it! Heavy, sloppy, wet snow. Very hard to drive in, and we could get as much as 9 inches of it!

I'm glad you asked. Katie is a tricolor smooth collie. The collie I use as my Avatar is a tricolor rough collie I used to own named Annie. Smooth collies have short coats, rough collies have long coats.

Most people are more familiar with Rough Collies. (Lassie was a rough coated sable & white collie.) It's exactly the same breed, just two different coat lengths.
