Last Sunday, our local dog park had a Halloween Party. For the first time ever, I decided to try dressing up Katie, my smooth collie. I drove to the closest dollar store and picked up several items. Katie was going to be an angel, a space alien, or a Hawaiian girl, depending on what I could make the most quickly.

I was way too short on time. I ended up cutting a Hawaiian lei down to fit her collar. I cautiously put her collar back on her, and happily, she didn't mind it at all.

Katie and the other dogs had a great time. We were too late for the costume judging, but that was okay. We got a lot of compliments on how pretty she looked. She was one of the few dogs that wore her "costume" the entire time she romped at the park.

This is one of the photographs I took of her at the party. I blurred the leaves around her a little. This is one of my favorite photos of her, because she looks very happy in it.

I just realized something... This wallpaper is the 300th one that I've uploaded to DN! Since I am so fond of my collie, Katie, and my designer name is "CollieSmile", I guess this wallpaper is a great one to be number 300.

PS. Smooth Collies are exactly the same breed as rough Collies (think Lassie) The only difference is the coat length.
