Unfortunately I am in no shape to identify it right now. I barely got 5 hours of sleep because I was so hyped up about the Detroit Tigers clinching the American League championship. I am going to stagger back to bed for awhile....

I don't think this is a North American Butterfly, or at least I don't think it's from the North Eastern USA. It might be from South America. I suggest that you put detective Kitty Catty on the trail while I go get some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......
