The Koala is classified as an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia. Now since there is no classification on DN for that, "Bear" is close enough. The Koala has a passing resemblance to a 'teddy-bear' and the word 'Bear' after Koala is very acceptable in the United States. Therefore, ewa, ignore the Scotman's comment because his spelling is as bad as those he criticizes and/or corrects.
