Noble Cat.
This big cat has always been misunderstood.
In a lot of respects, this is one cat that likes seclusion.
They do not like having humans about.
When they do come around, all this cat knows that trouble is not far off.
Like the bald eagle, like the grizzly bear, like the buffalo, like the mustang, like the wolf, the cougar is a symbol of early America and our America today. It is up to us to preserve all of them.

One thing you learn in Montana and Idaho, if you see one of these, don't assume there's only the one in the neighborhood because they can band together like coyotes and wolves. An adult cougar can overpower any man.......:(

This is a Cougar, not a Lynx. I lived out in the mountains, and there were plenty of Cougars where I was.
